Swedish Massage
Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
Thai Massage
Thai massage uses ancient stretching and massage techniques to leave you feeling free and relaxed. Thai massages are a performed with the client fully clothed. You will experience a relaxing flow of traction, stretches, mobility work, and compressions, along with some tissue work as accessible and as needed. All Thai massages will be performed on a Thai mat on the floor or elevated platform.
Sports Massage
Sports massage uses a variety of massage techniques designed to help prep your body for optimal sports performance. It is particularly great for those with active lifestyles and athletes. The focus is to allow for optimal function of the body for pre-event, post-event, and maintenance massage. Each session is tailored to each client's goals and events whether it be rehabilitation of injuries, aches and pains, or a focus on recovery from the compounding stresses of training for game day. A variety of modalities and techniques can be used throughout the treatment tailored to the stage of the client and their sport/event.
Pre-Event Sports Massage
Pre-event sports massages will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis. Pre-Event Sports massages are designed to prepare the client's body for a planned sport activity/event. This massage will cap at 20 minutes in order to stimulate the body for the event, but not overstimulate or exhaust the body prior to the event. Pre-event sports massages need to be scheduled at least 3 weeks out from an event. A variety of modalities and techniques can be used throughout the treatment tailored to the stage of the client and their sport/event.
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release uses specific techniques to stretch and repair the connective issue between your muscles (fascia). It helps your body heal properly from injuries and can restore range of motion. Get a greater benefit from this type of massage by adding on cupping! While traditional myofascial release is performed by applying holds in opposite directions to stretch the fascia, cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, and stretch the fascia.
